Famogbiele Opemipo

Opemipo is a Lecturer II in the Department of Fisheries Technology at the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology (FCFMT), Lagos, Nigeria. He holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Aquaculture and Fisheries Management from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Fisheries Biology and Management from the University of Lagos.
He teaches courses at both the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) levels, including Fishing Gear and Craft Technology, Practical Fishing, Basic Aquaculture, Fish Farm Management, Aquatic Ecology, and Fisheries Resource Management. His research interests include fishing gear technology, fisheries resource management, gear selectivity, sustainable fisheries, shellfish fisheries, and aquatic ecology. He is committed to advancing responsible fishing practices, sustainable fisheries management, and the conservation of aquatic resources through teaching, research, and mentorship. He is a member of the Fisheries Society of Nigeria (FISON).

Research Interests: Fishing gear technology, fisheries resource management, gear selectivity, sustainable fisheries, shellfish fisheries, and aquatic ecology.
