Anthonia Olabisi Fakeye

Anthonia Olabisi Fakeye is a Lecturer 1 in the Department of Fisheries Technology at the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology, where she has taught since 2019, covering courses such as Fisheries Management, Ichthyology, Aquatic Ecology, Resource Economics, Sustainable Fisheries Livelihood and Introduction to Sustainable Livelihood Approaches. Beyond lecturing, she guides students through research design, data collection and presentation of findings, academic counselling and also supports departmental administration.

She holds a B.Tech (Hons.) in Fisheries and Wildlife from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (2010), and an M.Sc. in Wildlife Park Planning and Recreational Development from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (2015). She is currently pursuing a PhD in Sustainable Development Practice, with a focus on Biodiversity Conservation, at Osun State University, Osogbo.

Her research interests span across Environmental Toxicology and Pollution Management, Ecotoxicology, Tourism Development, and Sustainable Development Practice, Biodiversity Conservation, as reflected in several journal articles and conference proceedings on fisheries, tourism, and environmental issues in Nigeria. She is a professional member of the Fisheries Society of Nigeria (FISON) and Onshore Offshore Oil and Gas Professionals.
