Agemo Musa Adeola

Agemo Musa Adeola is a Higher Fisheries Superintendent and Practical Instructor in the Fisheries Department of the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology (FCFMT), Lagos, where he has served since January 2023. He holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Fisheries Technology from the Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology and a National Diploma (ND) in Fisheries Technology. He also holds a Federal Craft Technical Certificate in Agricultural Mechanics.

Prior to joining FCFMT, he served as a Practical Instructor in the Fisheries Department of Akperan Orshi College of Agriculture, Yandev, Gboko, Benue State, during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) primary assignment from 2001 to 2002.

His research interests and practical experience include fish growth and nutrition, aquaculture production, fish hatchery management, and the effects of environmental contaminants on aquatic organisms. His research works include studies on the growth performance of Oreochromis niloticus fed supplemental plant and animal protein diets and the growth of Clarias gariepinus using different crude protein and maggot-based diets. He is currently working on a study on the effect of heavy metals on catfish egg hatching rate and survival.

He is a member of the Fisheries Society of Nigeria (FISON) and is committed to practical fisheries education, aquaculture development, student mentorship, and sustainable fisheries practices.
