The Department of Fisheries Technology is as old as the College itself and has produced numerous scholars in the fisheries sector. The department conducts the Fisheries Technology National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes. These are two year (four semester) programmes that incorporates four months of supervised industrial work experience.

The department also conducts professional training courses in Aquaculture production and Fish processing. The Fisheries Technology department is also responsible for operations management and fish production at the College fish farm located on the Igbolomi campus, Lekki, Lagos.
