General Studies Department
The General Studies Department is a service department that has as its main function the teaching of foundational courses such as Basic Sciences (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology), Geography, English Language, Communication, Citizenship Education and Information Technology.
These courses form the bedrock of the regular programmes in the College (ND and HND) which are interdisciplinary in their Curriculum content and do require the courses above as foundational courses to enable students have a proper grasp of the curriculum and prepare them for future tasks in their chosen career. Some of the objectives of the department include:
- To enable students have a proper grasp of their curriculum content
- Enable students acquire basic knowledge in the fundamental concepts needed to master courses offered in the College.
- Enable students acquire board-based education designed to sharpen student’s communication skills
- To produce a citizenry conscious of its role in a wider world.
